The poems in this personal collection were selected from those written from 1972 to 2023. These poems, as all poetry does, present a view of the world from the poet’s personal perspective and they try, in his attempt, to express a message that is universal. In curating the poems for publication they are overall sequenced to present a narrative of a journey of affirmation, discovery and experience.

The earlier poems strived at a definition of self, assertion of identity, discovery of growth in life’s experiences. Each one is embodiment of a larger story, a tale told within a tale. The poems as arranged flow in progression in terms of personal development, lessons and insights learnt along the way. They are collectively presented as a journey across several instances of experiences over the years, in the manner of an overarching single “meta” verse or “meta” poem, a life song transcending the decades.
