Kenny Chan, former Senior Director at Kinokuniya Book Stores (Asia Pacific), spent around 20 years with the company before retiring but is still a consultant there. His career path began in diplomacy as a Trade and Culture Attache at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore, posted in London. He transitioned to bookselling, joining Popular Holdings Limited, then MPH Bookstores Sdn Bhd, and later returned to Popular during their IPO launch. Kenny's notable achievement was being in the pioneer team that set up Popular Bookstores in Malaysia. He was also General Manager of Harris Bookshops and UPH Bookstores in Hong Kong in the 80s. He has been a champion of books always a writer and a book influencer too. |
