Lightning Source Sharjah, a joint venture between Ingram Content Group's Lightning Source LLC and the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), is one of the first large-scale print-on-demand operations in the Middle East. Since opening in November 2021, it has enable publishers to meet consumer demand in the region much faster. Ingram also works with more than 300 retailers in the region including Kinokuniya, Magrudy's and Amazon. With the ability for retailers to order directly from Lightning Source Sharjah, delivery times and shipping costs have been significantly reduced. To support this growth, Hassan Ali has been appointed the Business Development Manager for Lightning Source Sharjah. Hassan has over 15 years of experience working in books and publishing industry. Hassan has worked with various books publishing houses including his last role with Motivate Publishing based in Dubai where he served as a Key Account Manager responsible for regional sales, developing marketing campaigns for new titles, and managing key client relationships. In his new role with retailers throughout the region. |
