Victor Lam leads the Google for Education efforts in the South East Asia region. He has worked in both the private and public sector after earning his degree in finance & economics from the University of Melbourne, Australia and postgraduate diploma of education from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Prior to Google, Victor worked as a public school teacher in rural Borneo where he taught STEM subjects to indigenous school children. When it comes to education, he always believes that it takes a village to raise a child” and that education is the silver bullet as no other single institution has the same capacity to empower individuals and transform our economy and society
