 | Martin Knights joined King Henry VIII College as the Director of Boarding in July 2018. He joined from the UK where he was the Head of Boys’ Boarding at Prior Park College in Bath. Post school in London, Martin embarked on a military career serving 13 years as a Royal Marine where he instructed recruits in his later years of service. He was also part of the World Record Breaking Royal Marine’s Free-Fall Parachute Team in 1989. Post military, he made a very successful and natural transition into education securing his first teaching role as a PE and Games teacher at St. Benedict’s School, London. Martin enjoyed 13 productive and fun-filled years at St. Benedict’s during which time he rose to the position of Director of Sport. However, there was a greater pastoral calling for Martin and he joined Prior Park College in 2010 as a Boarding Housemaster and was subsequently promoted to Head of Boys’ Boarding in 2015. Now in Malaysia, Martin transitioned to the position of Deputy Headmaster (Pastoral and Boarding) in May 2020. In his spare time, he is a keen cyclist and loves to travel exploring new cuisines and different cultures. |
