Dr. Nor Edzan Che Nasir is currently a Member and Secretary of IFLA Asia Oceania Regional Division Committee. She is also a Member of IFLA’s Information Literacy Section and a Board Member of Pahang Public Library Corporation. She was the President for PPM from 2014 to 2016. She is the recipient of the Tokoh Anugerah PPM in 2017 and the18th CONSAL Outstanding Librarian Award (Gold) in 2022. With more than 26 years experience as an academic librarian and 8 years as an academician, her area of expertise is Information Literacy. At the same time, her research interest centers on the usage of social media, management of library associations and journal publishing. Her past positions are: • University Malaya: Chief Librarian, November 2007-May 2017 (10 years) • Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology, Universiti Malaya: Deputy Dean (Postgraduate Studies), January 2007- November 2007 (11 months) • Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology, Universiti Malaya: Lecturer and Associate Professor, November 1999-November 2007 (8 years) • Law Library, Universiti Malaya: Librarian, April 1991-November 1999 (8 years) • Library, Universiti Sains Malaysia: Librarian, April 1983-April 1991 (8 years) |
