Datu Dr. Hjh. Rashidah Bolhassan was appointed as Literacy and Reading Section, IFLA, Former CEO of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Malaysia. Rashidah holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Victoria Business School, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and is now a special officer with Sarawak's Ministry of Tourism, Creative and Performing Arts, Sarawak. She served as the first Chief Executive Officer of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and as the Permanent Secretary of, the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development. She was President, of the Librarians Association Malaysia, a Member of the Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MyIPO). Currently, she is the Deputy Chairman of Sarawak State Library, an Advisory Panel Member for Sarawak’s Islamic Information Centre, and on the Board of Trustees for the Women’s Leadership Foundation, Malaysia. On an international platform, she serves as a member of IFLA’s Advisory Committee on Cultural Heritage. |
