Indra Charismiadji is one of the most well-known educator in Indonesia with specialization in 21st Century Learning or now often referred as Education 4.0. He frequently appears on national television, radio interview, print and online publications discussing education issues and policies. For his dedication and hard work in improving education quality, the Indonesian Teachers Association (IGI) gave Indra the "Indonesian Education Award" in 2018.

Education has been his passion for the man who was born 44 years ago in Bandung – Indonesia. Indra graduated from the University of Toledo, Toledo, OH - USA majoring both in finance and marketing. After that, he continued his graduate studies at Dana University, Ottawa Lake, MI – USA. He then worked in several multinational companies in the United States such as Merrill Lynch, Omnicare, and Dana Corporation.

In 2002 Indra decided to return to Indonesia for good. He was the first one who introduces CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning) to Indonesian schools. With his extensive experience in education, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia, provincial government, and district government often seek advice from Indra and appoint him as specialized consultant for 21st Century Learning Development.

Currently Indra Charismiadji is holding as Executive Director of the Center for Education Regulations and Development Analysis (CERDAS). He also serves as the Director of Education for VOX Populi Institute Indonesia, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees in the Indonesian ICT / KKPI Teachers Association (AGTIFINDO), PGRI ICT Teachers Community, honorary member of APACALL (Asia Pacific Association for Computer-Assisted Language
Learning), and a member of ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education).

His expertise in education technology has made him repeatedly invited to be a guest speaker at education conferences, seminars and workshops in Indonesia and other countries. Indra Charismiadji is currently developing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and Computational Thinking for Indonesian education system.
