Dr. Cheah Swi Ee started as an education entrepreneur before she began her academic career in UniKL then University of Nottingham Malaysia. Her last position was Associate Dean, Research & Postgraduate in School of Education, Taylor’s University. During her journey in the academia, Swi Ee has spoken and published both internationally and locally. She has also assumed the role of chief editor for academic journals and international conference proceedings for years. Her background is essentially ELT. Some of the government-funded programmes she has been involved in were the Literacy and Numeracy Screening (Linus) Programme and Program Pensiswazahan Guru (PPG) among other professional development courses for lecturers in polytechnics and technical colleges. In 2019, Swi Ee became the only Malaysian appointed as Master Trainer for Pearson PTE Academic and she has conducted training sessions in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines. Currently she is on the ground where she hopes to make a difference in the lives of young learners as the Principal of Sri Kuala Lumpur Primary School. She is also the Vice President 1 of the Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (MELTA).
